Lab & Technical Assistance
EHBCC offers local entrepreneurs a variety of training courses in the use of computers for business applications. Course topics range all the way from learning computer basics to using accounting software for money management. In addition, EHBCC's computer lab remains open for general use by local entrepreneurs during our operational hours: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM*. These services complement our entrepreneurial training programs.
Computer Literacy – Teaches the basics on how to use a computer. Students are introduced in simple terms to the different components of a computer. This course also helps novice computer users learn how to comfortably explore the Microsoft Windows Operating system interface. Courses are offered in both English and Spanish.
Navigating the Internet – Introduces entrepreneurs to the Internet and how to surf the World Wide Web as well as the principles of using a search engine, understanding Internet security, and setting up email accounts. At the end of the class, participants will know how to use the Internet to do business research.
Microsoft Office Suite – Provides training in MS Office programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Courses are offered in both English and Spanish.
QuickBooks – Entrepreneurs learn how to use the various elements of this powerful accounting management program.
